Terms and conditions.
At Wren and Co Designs Limited, known as Wren and Co Designs, our aim is to provide quality upholstery, soft furnishings and customer service.
By placing an order with Wren and Co Designs it will be deemed that you have read, understood and agreed to the following terms and conditions.
1. Payment Details
A non-refundable payment of 50% is required for us to accept the order. Work will be booked in to the calendar when the deposit is received and a start date for the work will be advised. The balance of payment is due prior to delivery. Payment methods accepted are bank transfer and cash. We are unable to accept cheques. All orders will be confirmed to the client by email.
2. Fulfilment of Order
We endeavour to deliver the clients items forming part of this contract at the specified time. Our obligation, however, is to deliver on time providing that the materials to complete the work are available at the time the work is to be undertaken. We will keep the client informed at all times of any supply issues, or other factors, such as illness or equipment failure, which can affect delivery times. Any verbal or telephone orders will be confirmed to the client by email.
3. Additional Work
Additional work, which may not have been apparent when the estimate is provided, will be advised to the client on discovery, and a course of action agreed. This includes items such as, but not limited to, frame repairs which are hidden by the fabric. In the events repairs to the frame are required, these will be out sourced to a third party with a separate agreement being made between the customer and third party.
4. Old covers
The old fabric that is removed from the client’s item will be discarded/destroyed. The client must provide written confirmation, prior to commencing work, if they want the old fabric returned to them.
5. Amendments/Changes made by the client
Any amendments/changes made by the client must be confirmed and agreed in writing. Amendments may impact on delivery dates and costs. Any change to delivery date or cost will be confirmed in writing and agreed between both parties before continuing with the work.
6. Fabrics
All work undertaken uses fabrics supplied by Wren and Co Designs. We do not accept fabric supplied by the client. Should there be any faults with the fabric such as flaws or shortage in length, we will rectify/remedy the issue with the manufacturer directly. Where necessary we will inform the client. The client is to be advised that pattern matching is not always possible due to the nature, shape, style or positioning of the item. The client should advise Wren and Co Designs in writing prior to commencing work if specific pattern matching is required, this can then be discussed and agreed. The client should note that fabrics can behave unexpectedly and the manufacturing process can cause issues that affect the positioning of patterns/prints/repeats.
7. The Furniture & Furnishing (FIRE) & (SAFETY) Regulations 1988
All new fillings and cover fabrics supplied by Wren and Co Designs and applied to furniture manufactured after 1st January 1950 comply with the Furniture & Furnishings (FIRE) & (SAFETY) Regulations 1988. Furniture manufactured prior to 1950 falls outside of the scope with regards the fillings or covers. Any work requested by the client that doesn’t comply with these regulations will not be undertaken. As part of the regulations, a compliance label will be attached to the underside of the clients' item.
8. Delivery
Wren and Co Designs offers an Island wide collection and delivery service. Anything outside of this will be subject to agreement prior to commencing work. Upon delivery, the client will be asked to sign for; receipt and condition of the item.
As per (1), payment in full either by bank transfer, online or cash, has to have been received prior to completed furniture being delivered to the client.
9. Aftercare
Wren and Co Designs cannot be held responsible for the present or future behaviour of treatments/fabric/trims, such as wearing and deterioration, stretching, shrinking, staining, cleanability, fading or damage to the person or property. A copy of the fabric technical specification can be provided to the client upon request, confirming the manufacturers recommended cleaning instructions.
The client should note that cleaning products can cause damage to the fabric and as such, should only follow the manufacturer’s guidelines.
Do not steam clean fabric, it can cause shrinkage.
10. Data Protection
All personal data collected by Wren and Co Designs will be held securely in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA) which defines the law on the processing of data. Wren and Co Designs will never share your details with any third party, other than that required to fulfil your order, for example, courier for delivery purposes, provision of fabric samples.
11. Cancellation
Due to the nature of bespoke work Wren and Co Designs cannot accept cancellations. The client will be liable for the full quotation price.
12. Estimates
Estimates are valid for 1 month.
13. Corrections
Any correction(s) that the client wishes to make, that is not the fault of Wren and Co Designs, will be charged accordingly. Wren and Co Designs will not be held responsible for charges from other companies, that the client has asked to make corrections.
14. Imagery/Photographs
Images/photos will be taken of the clients' items and will be shared on social media sites, such as Facebook and Instagram. Images will also be used on Wren and Co Designs website portfolio to showcase the variety and quality of the work produced. If the client does not wish for their items to be photographed they must advise Wren and Co Designs in writing prior to work commencing.
